 A Few of Our Own
Many of you are geniuses in the kitchen and already have your own favorite cookbooks and recipes. But, for those days you don't feel like making an elaborate meal, we compiled a few recipes that are camp friendly and inexpensive to make. Some of these recipes can be made in advance and packed into a cooler. We are not going to labor you with basics such as hot dogs, hamburgers, steaks and the like; we figure if you don't have those down yet... well... you get the point.Ricotta Cakes
This is truly a "campy" dessert not to mention totally decadent. This dessert is not only easy to make, but tons of fun for the whole family. We make this at our family's camp all the time and everyone gets involved. The older kids roll out the dough while the younger kids spoon on the Ricotta cheese and place the chocolate. The cooking is up to the adults and then everyone gets to eat these fun, yummy desserts!
